BIOGRAPHY I’m a self taught artist working in a variety of mediums. I fell in love with Wales as a child on family holidays, often staying in a static caravan in Barmouth. As a result, I like to embrace the spirit of curiosity and wonder when travelling around the country painting. My practice is to always paint from feeling to reflect the Welsh landscape, buildings and people. I have exhibited with Wales Contemporary (award winner), Royal Cambrian Academy of ArtRead More

BIOGRAPHY I am a self taught painter of plein air tradition; I endeavour to use pure transparent watercolour to record the inherent and latent beauty witnessed in our natural and manmade environments. In my oil paintings, I strive for a direct approach on textured boards with as little layering as possible. As with the watercolours, painting outdoors in front of the subject is the central part of the creative process.  I love the natural world; we despoil and disregard itRead More

BIOGRAPHY I have been painting watercolours, acrylics and oils, for many years. A few years ago I decided to experiment with different mediums, and started using Welsh wool to make needle felted pictures. The landscapes of Wales are a constant inspiration for my work, and using wool is like using a part of the landscape to create a picture.

BIOGRAPHY I am a self-taught lifelong enthusiast and student of creative pursuits. When I discovered acrylic pouring in recent years, I felt a real chemistry (!). Forgive the pun, but it’s because acrylic pouring is a bit like both chemistry and cooking, in how the recipe, preparation and pour technique (and even the temperature) dramatically impact on the result. I’ll be honest, I once had to re-take a chemistry class, so I wonder what my lecturer would have thought aboutRead More

BIOGRAPHY Originally from Bridgend, I now live in the coastal village of Aberporth, West Wales and work from my studio in nearby Cardigan. I’m continuously fascinated by the interplay of colours and how they combine and interact with one another.  Painting allows me to play and explore relationships between colours and as a result, I (hopefully) create visually appealing pieces. When I begin a painting, the initial foundation of acrylic colours are applied spontaneously and I try not to focusRead More
